PLAN for the 1st week of school!

1st Day of school:   MONDAY, AUGUST 22!  First bell rings at 8:09 with 1st period officially beginning at 8:15 AM.  You must be seated in the classroom before the 8:15 bell to avoid a tardy!

ASB CARDS:   Only $20!  Sold before school only in room 803 (Mr. Rowan’s Classroom). Great discounts on football games, basketball games, dances, talent show, etc.!  Exact cash is preferred but checks (payable to BUHS) will be accepted.  An ASB card is strongly recommended as the discounts do add up – entrance into athletic events are only $1with an ASB card and $6 without!

ATHLETICS:   All athletes must have a 2016-17 physical completed and on file in the main office prior to any athletic participation.  This includes tryouts!  Also, if you owe a student bill your participation in athletics may be delayed until that bill has been cleared.  If you have any questions, please leave a message for our Athletic Director, Stacy Van Nest, at 873-4275, ext. 2726 or via email: athletics@bishopschools.org.

BUS SCHEDULES:   You can pick up a schedule in the main office.

CAMPUS MAPS:   You will find campus maps in our Main Office and Guidance Office.

CLASS SCHEDULES:   Lost yours?  Go to the guidance office.  They will re-print one for you!  Any questions about your schedule, see your Guidance Team: Mrs. Andersen & Mrs. Kane (Junior/Senior) or Ms. Stout & Mrs. Trotter (Frosh/Soph) before/after school, during break/lunch or during the class you are concerned about.

DAILY BULLETIN:   Keep yourself informed! Your 1st period teacher will be providing the Daily Bulletin to you every morning.  All school events/activities/important information are in the bulletin.  The Daily Bulletin is posted on our schools website and can be accessed via your SCHOOL LOOP.

LOCKERS:   Returning students retain their previous locker (it will be on your class schedule).  New students & freshmen will receive locker assignments at the Freshmen Orientation.  Report locker problems to Mrs. Kane in the Guidance Office.

DROPPING OFF/PICKING UP STUDENTS:   “No Parking” signs clearly mark areas in our parking lot that must remain clear of vehicles for student safety and for emergency vehicles.  Please do not block those areas and be respectful of all driving/parking laws as you (PARENTS, TOO!) could be cited for violation.

PARENT PARKING:   There are several temporary/30 minute parking spaces located in front of the Science Building.  We ask that you NOT park in the main lot as those spaces are assigned to the Senior Class and BUHS Staff.   Also, when dropping/picking up your student, please be mindful of the RED curbing and avoid  blocking driveways, fire/emergency accesses or the bus loading/unloading areas

P.E. UNIFORMS:   Uniforms are required and uniforms can be purchased the first week of school for $20.  All students will be expected to be dressed out for PE class on Monday, August 29.  Please bring exact money or check made payable to BUHS to present to your PE Teacher.

STUDENT PARKING:   The main parking lot is designated for SENIORS and STAFF ONLY.  All other students are asked to park on the streets surrounding the school and to respect our neighbors and all traffic regulations.  The draw for SENIOR parking spaces will be August 31st and Seniors must register for the draw beginning on registration day.

YEARBOOKS:  If you missed purchasing on Registration Day, keep your eye out for information via our school’s daily bulletin, school website and/or yearbook mailer.
